OpenEdrive platform distributes an open source base which can be derived. Other open source or proprietery projects can rely on this platform to create new reliable and cost efficient applications. Different applications with same open source base.

Project

The project starts from scratch. That means every hardware (on pcb level) and software will be developed from ground up. This ensures efficiency of the platform and its derived projects. Thus resulting in enhanced propietary applications of participating companies.

Main goals:

  • Using Open Source & Staying Open Source.
  • Stable and efficient platform xk32 hardware and software.
  • Frequency inverter hardware and its spezialized software relying on the xk32 platform.
  • Battery management system relying on derived smaller xk32 hardware. Depends on the current batterie technologie market availability.
  • Human machine interface with open source Arm 64bit single board computer. It must handle the self driving capabilities and connect to other vehicles to transfer route information and possible physical alignment to drive side by side on the road. Details see: Major derived project

Major derived project MINEMUM


Our Vision is to develop a small autonomous drive electric one passenger vehicle which can pysically connect to each other while driving the same route, side by side and in succession. This innovation is especially helpful in crowded cities to save space on the road. Small footprint of the vehicle is an advantage for finding parking slots. As an underlying source there is the whole open developed plattform named xk32 depending on xk32hw.

This project will be developed with existing open source software and hardware available and will be and stay open source as well. Companies can benefit and rely on this platform to develop its own modified propiretary embedded systems applications, which can be derived from the xk32 platform and its open source applications.
